Daniel Green Women's Avery Scuff,Chocolate,7 M US Purchaser Reviews
I was tired of wasting my money on flimsy slippers with no support and had read good things about most of the Daniel Green slippers. My mom LOVED the gold Lucy bedroom slippers her whole adult life and was very disappointed when they were discontinued. Anyway, I normally wear a size 8 and ordered the Avery scuff in a size 8 and, as I had already read, they were snug at first. Within a couple of days of wearing them with thick socks, (which you should always do people, because your feet sweat, even in the winter, and it is much easier and more hygienic to wash your socks and your slippers will stay fresh and clean much longer) they fit perfectly and are sooooo comfortable. They do have some arch support which I appreciate and, while they describe the footbed as latex, it seems to be a memory foam which perfectly conforms to my foot without just going completely flat. About a month before I got these I had purchased a pair of Isotoners at a local department store which stretched out and did go flat in just a few days of wearing them around the house. So if these go on sale I will definitely buy another pair. Love them!

Daniel Green makes the best house shoe on the market in my opinion. As a child I remember my grandmother loved hers. They are extremely comfortable and really keep your feet warm. I normally wear a 9 1/2 shoe and I order a 10 in these house shoes and they fit perfectly. They are extremely well made; I have never worn a pair out. I admit I try to order a new pair each year just for variety.

Brought these for my wife for Christmas and she loves them. She says they very soft and of high quality. Would buy Daniel Green products again.

I bought these as slippers for the winter months. So far I'm happy with them and the sole is thick enough I can even use them as shoes sometimes too (although I would only wear them in reasonable weather). They're warm enough but not suffocating, and they pretty much look as advertised (I bought the brown/blue combination).I have to admit, these DEFINITELY run small though. While my shoe size can range anywhere from 9-10, I read that in purchasing these shoes one needs to size up so I went with a 10. If my foot were ANY longer, even a 10 wouldn't have been enough (I would say I average 9.5 across most shoe, 10 if I really want it roomy). I would recommend sizing up at least a half size, if not a whole size, otherwise you'll find them unwearable what with the mini-heel in back. As far as width, my feet feel like they have plenty of room, although my feet may be a bit on the narrow side; for women with very wide feet, these might prove somewhat tight. As for durability, Lord knows. But they seem like they'll probably hold up. The cushion within may eventually sag a bit, but slippers normally aren't especially durable in that department anyways since they're made to be soft rather than supportive longterm. These aren't super-soft and cushy inside, but then they're also a bit more breathable that way too. For me, they're soft enough.Twenty-some-odd dollars was pretty darn good for the quality. I'm pleased and would generally recommend them to others.

I bought these slipper and thought I was getting an American tradition based on this product description:From the ManufacturerIn 1881 Daniel Green, a young traveling shoe salesman for the Wallace Elliott Company in New York City, visited Dolgeville, New York. Daniel was shown a pair of felt shoes fashioned from waste pieces of piano felt which had been made in the Dolgeville Felt Mill. Daniel Green noticed that these felt shoes were worn by many factory workers to keep their feet warm and comfortable on the cold factory stone floors, and thus a legend in footwear was born. What could be more wonderful than a pair of these? They arrived, and the box boasts about all the recycled matterial used and how 'going green' will make me 'feel good'...Trouble is, these babies are made in China! How green is that?Next time I'll just go to Wal Mart.

This is a comfortable, cozy slipper. It is great to wear around the house (I wear mine all day some times), and the semi hard sole is appropriate to step out and grab the mail or toss the trash without having to change into different shoes.

Every year or two our daughter requests this style slipper. Through the years we have bought many brands. She says these are the most comfortable she has ever had. They also look like the most durable.

I usually order the Haflinger slipper but I thought that they were a little too expensive so I decided to try these. So far, they are really comfortable and yes, they were a little snug at first, but usually wool slippers do stretch out (as did my Haflinger's) and this is my second day wearing them and they fit like a glove with good arch support. I'm not sure how long the arch support will last and whether it'll flatten out, but so far so good. Nice and warm and it feels really soft inside. Great price as well since I got these on sale ($18.95).Added July 23, 2011Okay, these are still nice with descent support but not as nice as my Haflinger's. These are also too warm to wear in warm weather. I think they are still a great deal.

I would but these over and over again! Seemed a little snug at first but they form into your foot perfectly after you wear them then they are perfect. Warm comfy great quality best slipper shoe I have ever had.
